The Role

Our client is currently looking for a construction and infrastructure lawyer with min 3-4 years pae experience up to SA level, to join the Building and Construction Team.

The role centres on both
Front end contracts & agreements and
back end dispute resolution, in relation to both domestic and commercial building matters.
Clients will include property developers, construction companies, commercial builders, home owners, domestic builders, OC's and more.

The matters you will work on will include a range of building projects, from residential, commercial, industrial, to retail and multi-unit development.

A snapshot of these matters will include;
Drafting and negotiating contracts and sub contracts
Providing advice on payments, variations, defects, delays, termination rights, insolvency insurance claims and security payment claims
Mediation
Dispute resolution
Legislative and regulatory requirements
VCAT disputes
Domestic Building Act disputes
Defective building work claims
Construction law advice and dispute resolution in delay and liquidated damages claims
Advice and dispute resolution in construction variation claims
Building practitioner professional liability claims
