Your Impact As the Brewing Area Manager at our Cascade site in South Hobart, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence within the brewing process.
Reporting to the Brewing Manager, this position will see you define, build, and implement new processes, establishing robust standards that align with the Good Operating Practices and Process Technical Specifications.
You will be the first point of escalation for brewing-related technical issues and provide hands-on support and technical expertise to ensure optimal process performance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence change and continuous improvement across our brewing operations.
Key Responsibilities Drive the implementation of process standards and control measures to optimize brewing quality and performanceLead and manage process changes, ensuring adherence to change management principles and proceduresAnalyze brewing data and performance metrics to identify improvements, address technical issues, and ensure alignment with brewing standardsDevelop and mentor shift teams in brewing practices, fostering a proactive and engaged team cultureCollaborate with brewing teams to define and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work InstructionsMonitor process changes and analyze the outcomes to ensure consistent quality and efficiencyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, supporting a safe and sustainable workplaceAbout You To succeed in this role, you will have a technical background in brewing or a related field, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Your ability to adapt, learn quickly, and make independent decisions will be key to driving performance in this hands-on role.
In addition, you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is beneficialCompletion of formal brewing training such as the IBD program, with demonstrated expertise in brewing processesProven ability to lead change and manage process improvements effectivelyThe ability to influence key stakeholders in new process implementationsExcellent communication skills to engage and influence across teamsA proactive approach to health and safety with knowledge of environmental best practicesWhy Us?
