The Opportunity As our Branch Manager, you will drive the operational performance of our branch while leading a dedicated team and ensuring compliance across all areas.
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing staff, contractors, and fleet operations, as well as fostering a strong safety culture and overseeing financial performance.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law.Oversee staff, owner drivers, and the branch's fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are maintained and compliant with regulations.Coach and mentor the team ensuring they are equipped to meet operational KPI and safety standards.Champion safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and build a safety-first culture within the team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Manage the branch's profit and loss (P&L), focusing on cost control, financial performance, and operational results.Oversee the workshop and fleet maintenance activities, coordinating with third-party contractors to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and regulations.About You Solid prior experience in managing operational teams within the logistics industry.Understanding of fleet management and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to ensure compliance and efficiency.Skilled in overseeing complex branch operations and ensuring all activities align with safety and compliance requirements.Ability to manage a P&L, driving financial performance while overseeing operational costs and maintenance.Excellent ability to engage with staff, contractors, and senior management, fostering a collaborative and effective working environment.Our Process Our recruitment process involves a number of checks including, but not limited to, criminal history, medicals, drug & alcohol testing, as well as verification of qualifications, licences and right-to-work status.
