What you'll do:
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
You will be responsible for supervising junior bookkeepers, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and timely.
Your day-to-day activities will include managing bank reconciliations, preparing payment runs, assisting with audit queries, setting up MYOB/Xero systems, handling accounts payable and receivable data entry, preparing month-end reconciliations and more.
Your ability to multitask will be key in this role as you juggle various responsibilities from answering phones as back-up cover to dealing with ad hoc requests.
Assign and supervise tasks for junior bookkeepers, including finance and office admin dutiesEnsure delivery of tasks to agreed deadlines for allocated clientsPerform bank reconciliations and prepare payment runsManage accounts email inbox and perform credit card reconciliationsAssist with audit queries and MYOB/Xero set-upsResponsible for data entry in Accounts Payable and ReceivablePrepare month end reconciliations, journal entries, and finalise monthly trial balancePrepare payroll and payroll tax, answer phone as back-up coverDeal with ad hoc requests such as payments, reports, new bank accounts etc.Ensure sufficient funds in operating bank accounts to cover payment runsWhat you bring: Proven experience in bookkeeping or similar roleStrong understanding of accounting principlesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlinesAbility to supervise and mentor junior staff effectivelyStrong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients regarding transaction-related itemsWhat sets this company apart:
