About the opportunity

In this position, you will build strong internal relationships to actively reinforce and promote wellbeing, health, and safety across the organisation. Working closely with operational staff you will become a trusted advisor for all things safety and risk management, providing practical advice and solutions. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on key business projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Assist managers with reporting of incidents and support the undertaking of investigations to establish root causes. Assist and conduct risk assessments with recommendations for corrective action. Provide advice to staff regarding OH&S policies, processes and procedures. Assist in the delivery of safety training programs which up-skill staff and managers with safety knowledge and hazard management. Support health and safety committees and representatives. Analyse, understand, and apply safety data to assist in the identification to determine key issues related to incidents, injuries, and wellbeing. We would love to hear from you if you possess the following: Proven experience in relevant health and safety field, with experience in aged care, community care or health will be highly regarded. Certificate IV, or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant discipline, or experience deemed equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge to apply the work health & safety legislation and relevant standards and codes of practice. Experience with RiskMan would be valued. Fire Safety Adviser training or experience, lead auditor and training/assessing qualifications would be highly regarded. Ability to travel to multiple sites where required and occasional interstate travel. Our Benefits:
