About the Role We are seeking safety-focused Boilermakers interested in joining our talent pool for future opportunities with our passionate Operations Services Maintenance teams (fixed plant). Having the right people working within our organisation focusing on our maintenance will allow us to unlock the value of our assets by ensuring that we have reliable equipment, predictable operations and a safe work environment for our people.
We offer 7 days on, 7 days off (7/7) or 4 days on, 3 days off (4/3) rosters at our BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) mine sites near Moranbah (Goonyella, Peak Downs, Saraji and Caval Ridge). Fly-In-Fly-Out options are available, as well as Drive-In-Drive-Out. Bus-In-Bus-Out from Mackay or Rockhampton.
Reporting to Supervisor – Maintenance, your duties will include:
Inspect, service & repair a wide range of mechanical equipment inclusive of (fixed plant structures e.g. wash plants) Execute general fabrication repairs and replacements Carry out preventative, general maintenance and repairs Undertake training and upskilling as relevant to technical role Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings Be comfortable in the use of maintenance systems (SAP) Take personal responsibility for achieving results Actively participate in identification of continuous improvement Safety first with the capacity to speak up and play an active role in positive team culture and creating a great workplace About You You believe in the value that being a maintenance professional can bring to an organisation. Successful candidates will possess the following:
Australian recognised trade certificate – (Boilermaker/Fabricator) Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance Experience with Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) is highly regarded Highly safety focused individual Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated computer skills C Class Drivers Licence mandatory About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
