Job Description
Mobile Concreting Solutions is an industry leader in the manufacture and supply of construction materials in North-west Australia.
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity exists for experienced and motivated Boilermakers and Fitters to join our dynamic team in Pilbara - Karratha, Port Hedland, Tom Price Quarry, and Onslow Quarry.
Boilermaker Requirements:
The successful Boilermaker candidates will need to have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, and hold a relevant trade qualification, along with:
Experience repairing quarry fixed and mobile plant Proficiency in various welding applications including Arc, Mig, Wire feed, etc.
Proficiency in all forms of oxy acetylene cutting and brazing Good understanding of different steel properties/functions Prepared to travel predominantly within the Pilbara region to service our quarry and concrete operations Strong understanding and commitment to OH&S Ability to work independently Excellent mechanical aptitude Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills Fitter Requirements:
The successful Fitter candidates will need to have a minimum of 5 years' experience working on Elevated work platforms, AWP, Boom lift, Scissor Lift, Forklift, telehandler, CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, earth moving vehicles, etc.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on reverse osmosis units, pumps, valves, piping systems, water monitoring equipment, and all auxiliary equipment as required Complying with applicable Safety, Environment, Health, and Waste Management policies and procedures Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed Monitoring and performing preventive maintenance on waste heat recovery system and components Performing machine operations, servicing, and engine overhauls Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of a computer Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year (commensurate with skills and experience).
