BOILERMAKERS – $60/HOUR (base $50/hour + $10/hour completion bonus - Conditions Apply) Permanent Positions Available (Local hire only, no FIFO available) Specialised Welding Products (SWP), a division of The Lincoln Electric Company (Australia) Pty Ltd, requires experienced Boilermakers to join our team to work in the region's Sugar Mills (Mackay and Sarina) for the 2024 Sugar Maintenance and Crushing Seasons.
Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A tests, have their own reliable transport as well as their own basic tools. A Safety First attitude is essential. Good rates with regular overtime will be available to successful candidates.
Duties required: Boilermaking Tasks as instructed by Onsite Supervisors. Operate Portable Automated Flux Cored Arc Welding Systems. Skills required: Boilermaking/Welding. Ability to read and interpret drawings. Full understanding of Flux Cored Arc Welding Process & the ability to troubleshoot wire feeding systems. Ability to learn to use an automated welding controller. Basic Welding & Safety competencies. Mechanical aptitude. A can do attitude and ability to work autonomously. What we offer We offer above Awards pay rates + penalties based on experience. A base rate of $50/hour plus $10/hour completion bonus (totalling $60/hour) will be paid to entitled employees. The Completion Bonus is only applicable during the Crushing Season. There will be permanent position entitlements and a generous completion bonus for successful applicants.
