George Fisher Mine – Hoisting and Shafts Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Reference No: 37441 We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join the Hoisting and Shafts Maintenance team at George Fisher Mine. The position is residential in Mount Isa and will require the applicant to responsibly, safely, and effectively perform planned and breakdown maintenance tasks while promoting site safety values and ensuring the highest standards of work are conducted in a professional manner.
The Role We are looking for a qualified Boilermaker with strong involvement in all aspects of maintenance, including routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing. In this role, you will carry out workshop fabrication duties, routine scheduled maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and completing breakdown repairs. You will have the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently in a dynamic and challenging environment with a high focus on planned maintenance. Reporting to the Hoisting and Shaft Assets Supervisor, you will need to make decisions, meet deadlines, and possess exceptional communication skills. The roster for this role is 4 on 4 off, 4 on 2 off days only.
