TerraCom owns and operates the Blair Athol Coal Mine, it's flagship operation in the Central Queensland coal fields.
This open-cut high quality thermal coal operation consists of a full suite of mining activities inclusive of dragline, truck and excavator, dozer push, mine site rehabilitation, coal processing, coal crushing, product haulage and train load-out activities.

An exciting opportunity awaits, a skilled and dedicated Boilermaker to join our maintenance department to help us ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our mining operations.

This position offers the flexibility to live locally or DIDO on a 7 days on 7 days off rotating day and night shift roster.
The Blair Athol Coal mine is located an easy 20 minute commute from the family-friendly township of Clermont in Central Queensland, 120 km northwest of the FIFO hub of Emerald and an easy driving distance from nearby coastal communities.
The role responsibilities will be to;
Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment used in mining operations.Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant machinery and mining equipment.Read and interpret drawings, and technical specifications to determine materials and welding requirements.Conduct welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling of metal parts.Ensure compliance with mine safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised work environment.Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.Identify, report and act on all hazards whilst complying with the Health, Safety and Environment Management SystemHave a demonstrated positive work ethicBe an effective team playerUncompromising commitment to safety and the environmentSound judgement, decision-making and problem-solvingWhat's on offer 7 days on 7 days off Rotating Day/Night shift rosterLive locally or DIDO from the nearby established coastal towns of Mackay and surrounding areas.Attractive salary package plus 6 weeks annual leave.

Trade qualified as a Boilermaker (or equivalent qualification).Previous experience as a Boilermaker in the mining and heavy industrial sectors.Proficient in welding techniques.A positive can-do attitude with a strong passion for safety improving mining efficiencies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A team player who can help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.At TerraCom, you're an essential part of our purpose: to turn raw potential into real progress.
