The Role
This will require you to provide technical trade support to the fabrication team in a workshop environment.
The ability to bring an innovative mindset and willingness to challenge the norm will be essential to this role.
This is a residential role in Mount Isa, working a 48-hour week 4/3 or a 56-hour week 5/2 roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: General Light and Heavy FabricationProcessing steel to precise measurements through workshop equipmentComplete all work to a high standard of accuracy and qualityMaintain accurate and detailed records of work completedCommunicate effectively with team members and managementThe successful applicants will have: High level of attention to detail and can-do attitudeMust possess great time management skills, working independently and in a team.Must have a solid knowledge base around most facets of this field, cutting, gouging, folding, fabricating, Plate Rolling welding and quality control.A great level of understanding of the Australian Standards associated with this line of workMust have an Australian recognised trade qualification - Boilermaker (Fabrication)Proficient in GTAW, MMAW, FCAW and GMAW weld processesHold a current manual Australian driver's licenseForklift ticket, basic rigger/doggers/HR ticket and gantry crane would be an advantageMust be willing to buy into the team dynamics and maintain a high level of customer focusCorrectly interpret and apply engineering drawings, measuring equipment and company documentationComplete assigned work and associated paperwork to a high standard with the relevant notes regarding any repairs.Ensuring safe work behaviours for yourself and your fellow team membersFor any further questions please contact: Bec McManus
