Our highly motivated team and commitment to quality make Norm Engineering attachments highly sought after products; providing ideal solutions for the earthmoving, mining, construction, landscaping, councils and agricultural industries.An opportunity has become available for a boilermaker to join our growing team.This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start available.Responsibilities:Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.Determine the appropriate equipment or machinery to be used.Set up components.Shape and fabricate parts.Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.MIG weld small and large components.Cut, mold, and weld metal/steel to fix faults, and weld and bolt parts of the structure together.Use hand tools, flame torches, and other machinery to shape, cut, and weld sections of metal.Maintain and repair all machinery & equipment.Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.Communicate with other production departments to organise components.Report damages on machines and equipment.Report updates to drawings and procedures.Demonstrate the ability to perform physical/manual laboring tasks related to a Boilermaker in a safe manner.Keep facility tidy.Follow directions given by Foreman.To be successful you need to have the following:Certificate I, II or III in Engineering and Fabrication; or relevant experience as a welder.2nd class welding ability.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to read drawings, work to a time frame, and complete tasks with a high-end finish.Logical and analytical thinker.Excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to follow instructions and follow through on all tasks.Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and team.Available for long term work commencing immediately (or after notice period).Happy to ask questions if something is not clear, to give and take on feedback.A strong work ethic and a high attention to detail.Health and safety conscious.Ability to work independently.Fit & able to perform physical & repetitive tasks.Attendance, punctuality, and reliability is a must.Boilermakers have many purposes, to be utilized in several areas in the workplace:Press Brake.Guillotine.Drill Press.Hand tools.MIG Welder.Oxy Cutting Equipment.Porta Power.Jib Crane.Over Head Crane.Boilermakers in their daily activities must maintain and observe E.H.S. processes:Ensure you are trained and proficient in any equipment you use.Ensure you are licensed where required e.g. High Risk Fork Truck Licence.Check all guards to ensure they are operating and in place.Check emergency stop switches are working.We offer our employees:Attractive remuneration and benefits.Opportunity to further develop your skills working with an iconic Australian Manufacturer.Great team culture.Long term job security.Afternoon shift with loading.Full time position.Immediate Start.Plenty of overtime available.Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 – $40.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 38 per weekBenefits:Parental leave.Visa sponsorship.Schedule:8 hour shift.Supplementary Pay:Overtime pay.Penalty rates.Performance bonus.Ability to commute/relocate:Darra, QLD 4076: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).Experience:Welding: 2 years (Preferred).Licence/Certification:Driver Licence (Required).Work Authorisation:Australia (Required).Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
