Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising vacancies that exist for a Boilermaker in the Copper Smelter- Mechanical Maintenance Department.
This role will require you to provide technical trade support to the Copper Smelter Mechanical Maintenance team in a fixed plant maintenance environment.
The Role
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to bring an innovative mindset and willingness to challenge the norm.
You must have trade qualifications and be flexible in terms of working times and rosters.
This position is residentially based in Mount Isa, working Mon – Fri 48 hours/week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Pots and Bridle repairs Repairs and modifications to fixed plant structures Challenging costs and delivering cost saving initiatives where practical Assisting other maintenance personnel when required Driving and participating in continuous improvement projects You will have the following skillset and attributes:
Reliable with a genuine concern for safety Possess great time management skills, working independently and in a team Australian recognised trade qualification - Boilermaker (Fabrication) 5 year's experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environment Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop simple mark ups Hold a current manual Australian driver's license Forklift ticket, basic rigger/doggers/scaffolder ticket would be an advantage Previous experience working in/with electrical teams will be an advantage but not essential Benefits Glencore offer the successful candidate for this position:
