We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine.

Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications.Benefits:13% Super14/14 roster (Day and Night shift)Excellent career development opportunitiesSalary sacrificing vehiclesBenefits program including discounts with Health Insurance providers, online and in-store discounts through Glencore Rewards.About the role:To optimally maintain Metallurgy & Port mechanical assets to ensure their effective and efficient operation.Accountabilities:Interpreting assembly drawings and instructions.Experience with detailed cutting and bending of materials.Welding metal components and materials by means of Stick Welding, Mig Welding and Tig Welding.Developing layouts and design plans as required.Preparing a sequence of operations to accomplish the task.Setting up the welding machines and other necessary equipment for the task.Maintaining the machine tools and equipment such as drill press, grinders, oxy equipment, profile cutter, drop saws, etc.Preparing reports of the work completed and raising corrective work orders when required.Performing quality control checks on the finished product.Adhering to the company's safety standards and procedures.Developing and training the apprentices and trainees in line with their trade.Successful applicant will have:Certificate III in Engineering – Metal FabricationCrane ticket for non-slew crane (desired)Working at Heights and confined space ticketsHigh Risk EWP, Forklift and Dogman ticketsAt MRM, we support the Northern Territory first, and Territorian applicants or those prepared to relocate.Glencore employees applying for this role may be asked to discuss this with their Supervisor or Manager prior to an interview taking place.
