Welders & Boilermakers (Trades & Services) Full time NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer, located southwest of Townsville. The Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, open cut, and ore processing operations. Charters Towers offers all the facilities you would expect in a large regional town.
We are experiencing a period of exciting growth at our Pajingo gold operation and are seeking an experienced Boilermaker for our Pajingo Mine Operations. You will be responsible for undertaking scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installations within the plant and associated infrastructure.
The role is residential/DIDO based in Charters Towers working a 7/7 roster, 12 hours a day. Previous experience in mining will be an advantage.
About the role:Work cooperatively with the supervisor to maintain the fixed plant & ancillary equipment including jaw & cone crushers, conveyors, chutes, ball mills, pumps, cyclones, compressors, gearboxes, gold room equipment, agitators, tanks, & tailings.Complete assigned work and associated paperwork.Assist other trades with their work when required.Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and standards.Contribute to continuous improvement by constantly looking for opportunities to improve work safety, practices, and procedures.Support the supervisor by participating in root cause analysis activities.Ensure good clear communication lines within the team and with other sections/departments.Conduct breakdown and PM checks as required.Actively promote continuous improvement to improve safety, operational efficiencies, and reduce costs.Maintain the highest standard of housekeeping through continuous review and management of work area daily.Be proactive in identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviours or actions.About you:Trade certificate in Metal Fabrication/Boilermaker.Experience in fixed plant maintenance in a mining environment.Current Driver's Licence.Effective communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to work safely at all times.Ability to prioritise and schedule work.Adhering to Work and Safety Standards.Able to pass an employment medical and police clearance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
