APPOINTMENTS TO THE VICTORIAN PHARMACY AUTHORITY The Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas MP, Minister for Health is pleased to invite applications for the appointment of three members to the Victorian Pharmacy Authority (Authority).
These positions provide an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to contribute to the governance of the Authority and protection of the Victorian public.
The Authority is an independent statutory body established under the Victorian Pharmacy Act 2010. It acts both as a regulator of pharmacy businesses, pharmacy departments and pharmacy depots, and as a board of management for its own services.
About the roleThe Authority is responsible to the Minister for setting its strategic directions within the framework of government policy. It is accountable for ensuring that its services:
are efficiently managedprovide high-quality care and service delivery in risk-based regulationmeet the needs of the communitymeet financial and other performance targets.These are paid, part-time Victorian Governor-in-Council appointments. The term of these appointments is up to three years from 1 July 2025.
Who we're looking forThe upcoming vacancies for the following board positions due to occur from 1 July 2025 are:
2 x Pharmacist members (for registered pharmacists only)
