This position provides a rapid response to extended hours crisis situations predominantly in the areas of Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Women's and Children's Health. The position can also have a significant impact in supporting appropriate patient flow by providing flexible hours for patient/carer assessments, case planning, and additional capacity to action new referrals.

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)Selection Criteria: Previous Social Work experience working in an acute hospital setting across a number of clinical areas.Experience in crisis counselling, end of life planning, bereavement counselling, and child protection assessment and case planning.Demonstrated high level assessment, counselling, and brief intervention skills.Demonstrated high level communication skills, written, oral, and computer, and within a multidisciplinary team setting.Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage and respond to stressful situations and ability to work unsupervised.Experience in report writing, case planning and assessment, negotiation, conflict resolution, and advocacy.Requisition ID: REQ539629
