Aspects of the role include:Responsible for the team completing key steps of the production process within assigned stations.Overseeing site cleaning and general housekeeping duties to reduce waste and potential safety hazards.Manual handling as required.Flexibility to cover shift work (plus overtime available on weekends).Weekend overtime available (plus allowances for afternoon and night shifts).Benefits and PerksTerms and conditions are above Award; Up to 38 hours per week M-F, plus weekend overtime available. Forklift license and experience are essential. You must also be committed to maintaining high standards of workplace safety and working in a team environment. As an experienced Leading Hand, you will have proven, confident, well-rounded experience in the following:Strong background in FMCG food manufacturing environment.Experience in GMP principles.Commitment & adherence to WHS compliance standards in a manufacturing/production environment.Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, to set up, operate, and clean mechanical equipment.Understand process control with particular emphasis on quality, reduction of waste, and maximizing output.Skill to perform basic problem solving and diagnosis of machine issues and work with maintenance team for resolution of non-routine issues.Ability to work autonomously and establish priorities and plan work.Proactive approach to continuous improvements.Effective communication to liaise with Production team members as well as Management.As a Leading Hand, it is expected you will have experience in all of the above as well as proven leadership experience.Commencing on day shift with full training provided, with the intent to transition quickly to afternoon shift, Monday to Friday.
