ABOUT THE ROLE AHA has a full-time employment opportunity for a Biosecurity Manager to join the Biosecurity team. Reporting to the Head of Program - Biosecurity, this position plays a lead role in biosecurity projects and stakeholder engagement of AHA. 
Key responsibilities of the role include: Managing Biosecurity and animal health projects including developing, implementing, auditing and reporting to enable the effective execution of the activities and deliverables. Providing biosecurity specialist or technical expertise, across a range of different livestock industries and programs, as required.  Chairing and/or leading AHA Biosecurity project committees and working groups, ensuring meeting papers, correspondence, minutes, and actions are prepared in a timely manner. Managing effective workflows and communication between programs, projects, teams and keys stakeholders.  Working cooperatively with AHA members and stakeholders, to accomplish AHA objectives to build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships and achieve results. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Veterinary or Animal Science, or related fields. Demonstrated experience in project / program management. Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Sound time management and organisational skills whilst managing competing priorities. Creative and independent thinker with the ability and confidence to propose solutions to complex issues. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and networks with members and key stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Teams, contemporary office software applications, internet communication tools and database management. Sound knowledge of and/or experience in the Australian animal health and biosecurity system. Project management qualifications and/or experience.
