BioBanking Accredited Environmental Ecologist Our client is a specialist environmental consultancy, providing expertise in all areas of ecological assessment and management. They provide services to a wide range of private and public sector clients and routinely conduct ecological surveys and reporting for Species and Environmental Impact Statements, flora and fauna assessments, development applications, and bushland management plans.
About the role You will work as part of a team to conduct ecological field investigations, creation of reports as well as impact assessments. You will be responsible for supervising other team members and successfully utilize your established contacts and networks for business development and marketing activities.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience, preferably with a consulting background Relevant tertiary degree BioBanking Accreditation (Requisite) Demonstrated botanical identification skills in previous roles Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Strong project management skills Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and government and private stakeholders What you will be doing: Performing work in the areas of ecological assessment, natural resource management, environmental impact assessment, permitting and approval processes Provision of project ecological management advice and oversight in relation to ecological legislation and considering a range of matters such as vegetation, surface water and groundwater impacts Oversight of construction activities including on-site roles such as ecological site inspections, etc. Managing and delivering projects on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards Bidding for and winning work To be eligible to apply for this position, you must have an appropriate Australian work visa.
