Our expertise extends to depots, operations, maintenance analytics and asset management across all aspects of rail, including transport, technical and sustainability assessments and systems infrastructure. Based in London, 1 day on site in West London and 1 day in attendance at our office in Waterloo as a minimum. The BIM Modeler plays a critical role within the Engineering Directorate, focusing on the production and coordination of high-quality 3 D CAD models with embedded data and ensuring their alignment with project standards and the BIM Execution Plan. As a BIM Modeller you will take the role in the implementation of Digital deliverables, ensuring all outputs are produced to a high standard in accordance with project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivered to project standards. Responsible for implementing best practice and consistent processes across the project, this includes liaising with project stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure the correct standards are applied. Responsible for quality processes and quality standards of all deliverables, including exchange information and conversion processes. Utilise Bentley Project Wise with Open Building Designer, and Micro Station for detailed 3 D CAD model creation and documentation, ensuring models are fully coordinated and by using clash avoidance tools which are embedded within the digital twin used on the project. Liaise with discipline BIM leads to ensure optimized clash results using suppression rules based on modelling methods. Lead the production of high-quality 3 D CAD models and detailed construction drawings for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models. Produce model geometry and information in line with the Component Catalogue and outline information within the BIM Execution Plan (BEP). Ensure all models that are submitted meet the project requirements set out, and ensure systems are in place for clash avoidance, internal model audits and clash detection before model submission. Support and liaise with the BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager and wider project joint venture team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to specified project standards and to facilitate issue resolution. Assist in the maintenance of the project's Project Wise Common Data Environment, ensuring accurate and timely information flow and adherence to data management standards. Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure they meet the project's accuracy, detail, and the employers information requirements. Assist in monitoring compliance with the BEP and the supporting project standards, contributing to regular reports on BIM deliverable status. Work closely with other disciplines to ensure the 3 D CAD models are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary. Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM-related issues. Profile BIM Technician with at least a minimum of 3 years' experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects. Experience of working in an engineering production environment. A railway, transportation or construction background. Experience of delivering projects to UK BIM Standards including BS1192 and ISO 19650. Proficient in using Bentley software including Project Wise, Open Building Designer and Microstation. Demonstrated experience in leading the technical development of 3 D CAD components from conceptual design through to detailed construction models. Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the cohesive development of integrated project deliverables. Good knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and Tf L. Experience working with BEPs, Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP) and Model Production Delivery Tables (MPDT). Ability to adapt to new BIM technologies and workflows, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
