The role of Billings Officer will be responsible for the timely billing and collection of hospital and medical claims, liaising with sites for payments and banking, handling patient queries and complaints, and ensuring timely payment from health funds and third parties.
This role is based out of our Brisbane Toowong Office and is close to public transport.You will need to be a team player, able to work independently and as part of a team, with exceptional interpersonal skills both over the phone and face to face.The Role will encompass but is not limited to:Hospital and Medical BillingAccurate compliance to billing Rebateable ItemsProcessing and Balancing of Payments to ProvidersProcessing Doctors PaymentsReconciling Payments and BillingDebtor Management – Medicare / Health Funds / Patients / Third PartiesBalancing Payments Across Multiple LocationsMaintain Internal Accounting RecordsGeneral Administration TasksTo be successful in this role you will need to have or the ability to obtain the following skills and abilities:Microsoft Office suite, with proven Excel experienceUnderstanding of Medicare / Health Funds ClaimsExperience in Simday/ e-claims / Episoft / MYOB (advantageous)Confidence navigating multiple software packagesExperience working in a tight fast-paced team environmentHighly developed time management skillsIf this is the role for you, please apply now!
