Job DescriptionThe Opportunity: We currently have an exciting opportunity at Housing Choices Australia for a Bid Coordinator & Writer to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO), the position will manage all tender opportunities, the majority of which are applications for government funding to build and/or manage new social and/or affordable housing. The successful applicant will be organised, hardworking and efficient, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
The role will balance multiple tenders concurrently and will work across all states that HCA operates in. Tenders are fast-paced with many moving pieces and the successful candidate must be comfortable dealing with tight timeframes, coordinating multiple workstreams and working with numerous stakeholders from across the business. With several tenders anticipated in 2024 and beyond it will be essential that the successful applicant is an adaptive and quick learner and able to hit the ground running.

Desired Skills and ExperienceResponsibilities of the role include:
Assessing all tender opportunities and conducting an evaluation of each to determine which to respond to.Project managing HCA's response to the tender by allocating segments of the tender to relevant teams, working with those teams to ensure they understand the requirements, and bringing together inputs from different areas of the business.Utilising previous tender responses and existing materials to draft responses to standard tender questions.Converting technical input from subject matter experts into clear, easy-to-understand written responses.Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to draft, review, edit and finalise HCA's response to tenders. Reviewing and understanding tender requirements to ensure HCA's response is compliant.Managing relationships with other stakeholders involved in the tender, e.g. government departments, HCA's service delivery partners, and external parties.Writing papers for internal approval processes for tender submissions, including board papers.Developing and refining tender management tools, templates and processes and championing the adoption of these across the business. Refining and managing an internal library of tender materials and responses.Providing ad hoc support to the PMO function during quiet tender periods. We are seeking someone with sound technical skills and knowledge combined with a collaborative and flexible partnering style and strong commitment to our vision and mission.
