The Opportunity
To support the growth of our company, Bhagwan Marine is looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team, based in our Perth CBD office.
This role is responsible for providing a range of high quality, accurate and timely HR advice and guidance, administrative and support services to ensure the delivery of people management initiatives, projects, and reporting activities across Bhagwan Marine.
Responsibilities
Provide advisory and operational support to managers and employees across the employment life cycle with reference to the relevant awards, Fair Work act and national employment standards (NES). Work with the Head of HR/IR on strategies to improve employee engagement, talent management, and succession planning. Oversee the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of land-based personnel. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across HR systems, coordinating routine audits as necessary. Maintain and update all HR management policies, procedures, processes whilst assisting managers to understand and adhere to them. Support and guide managers to undertake consistent and appropriate performance management including regular performance check-ins, annual performance appraisals and management of underperformance. Under the guidance of the Head of HR/IR, undertake the effective case management of employee relations matters. Ensure all company policies, processes and procedures are implemented effectively. Prepare and update the employment contracts as appropriate in line with industrial laws and statutory obligations. Ensure that all employees have received appropriate company inductions and training. Provide support and guidance to the Recruitment and HR Administrator. Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or similar is essential. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. Permanent working rights with no restrictions. Sound understanding of HR and recruitment principles. Experience in developing and maintaining highly effective stakeholder relationships. Experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential. Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Willingness to take ownership of the role. We have a strong focus on people, health, safety and the environment.
