Our Opportunity Work Location: Cloudbreak mine site Fortescue's Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7 Days, 7 Nights, 14 Off The Fixed Plant Belt technician maintenance role reports directly to the OPF Maintenance Services Supervisor and will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and improving Conveyor systems and equipment to safely deliver world class availability and reliability.
This will also include but not limited to managing plant maintenance functions in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, enabling the Fixed Plant Operations to meet the present and future needs of operational requirements; and managing the plant maintenance activities with a continuous improvement and reliability philosophy Key Responsibilities Carry out steel cord & fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs Lag pulleys on site with cold vulcanized lagging in compliance with FMG work standards Apply rubber linings to pipes, spools, launders, chutes etc Conveyor system maintenance including but not limited to roller changes, roller frame change out & repairs, skirt replacement & repairs, installation of tracking devices Maintain safety & belt hygiene standards across the fixed plant process Operate mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment such as winders, winches and belt stands Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and log all information into the asset management app (PDS) Qualifications and Experience Level 2 or 3 Belt Splicing trade qualification or similar.
Knowledge and experience in computer maintenance management systems Significant experience in a fixed plant continuous processing plant Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous processing plants Proven commitment to safety and zero harm Our Commitment Fortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
