Reporting to the Director Development and Community, the Manager Health and Compliance will lead a team of approximately 10 people, in addition to Consultants, in the areas of Environmental Health, Development Compliance, and Swimming Pool Compliance. This is a newly created and key role for the City, responsible for providing vision, strategic leadership and governance of the team, ensuring accurate advice and technical support is provided to customers, the Council and the CEO in respect to health and compliance matters. Your priorities will be the development of a Business Unit Plan, Service Level Review and Public Health Plan in addition to the completion of a Compliance Policy review.
REQUIREMENTS If you have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Health (or qualifications acceptable to the Department of Health Executive Director of Public Health) and have managed a small team, we would be interested in hearing from you. As this is a newly formed team, well-developed leadership skills and the ability to develop a team are essential, as is experience administering and enforcing health standards. A proactive and methodical mindset with a commitment to business partnering and fostering strong stakeholder relationships will ensure success in this position.

THE PACKAGE A competitive total reward package is on offer on a permanent contract, comprising of $155,215 base salary (negotiable), plus superannuation as well as motor vehicle allowance of $15,000, relocation allowance and transitional housing in accordance with City guidelines.
