Manager Community Safety - City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder THE ROLE Reporting to the Director Development and Community, the Manager Community Safety will lead a team of approximately 20 people, in addition to contractors, in the areas of Community Rangers, Safer Streets and Emergency Management.
This is a newly created and key role for the City, responsible for providing vision, strategic leadership and governance of the team, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with statutory requirements and the City's strategic objectives and customer service standards.
Your priorities will be the development of a Business Unit Plan, Service Level Review and the City's Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan.
REQUIREMENTS A community safety or emergency management professional with team leadership experience and an innovative mind is the ideal skillset for this role.
If you have this combination of skills and have worked in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, we would be very interested to hear from you.
A proactive mindset with a commitment to business partnering and fostering strong stakeholder relationships will ensure success in this position.
THE PACKAGE A competitive total reward package is on offer on permanent contract, comprising of $149,178 base salary (negotiable), plus superannuation as well as motor vehicle allowance of $15,000, relocation allowance and transitional housing in accordance with City guidelines.
