Our vision embodies our commitment to Community, Learning, Excellence and Faith.We are seeking an experienced practitioner to:provide instructional and behavioural support to students at Salesian College Sunbury (the College) with diverse needs including cognitive and behavioural issues that have a significant impact on their academic engagement.independently implement targeted learning programs to assist young people to increase their academic engagement, social connectedness and demonstration of pro-social behaviours at the College.prioritise the collection and analysis of behavioural data of students receiving support at the College. This will further inform and strengthen ongoing evidence-based interventions for students.role model, at all times, the Salesian ethos through presence to the young people and staff at our College.The successful candidate will demonstrate:previous experience (preferably in a school or institutional setting), effectively implementing behavioural interventionist strategies to support diverse young people and their families.at least five years' work experience supporting children with additional needs.willingness to gain or currently hold a minimum Graduate Certificate in Behaviour Intervention or similar qualification, with alternative qualifications in allied health such as Occupational Therapy or Social Work considered.possess (or can obtain) a current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.The successful candidate will exemplify our ethos and enjoy working collaboratively with our Student Wellness and Learning Diversity Teams to contribute to the social, emotional and psychological health of our students.Application Procedures
