A full-time (or x2 part-time) permanent position available at our Tonsley or Elizabeth office.
Salary Range: $90,120 - $96,585 + Super (incl.

About the role As a Behaviour Practitioner, you will support people on the autism spectrum, together with their care team, to address their individual behaviour support needs.
This may include functional behaviour assessments, therapeutic intervention and specialised positive behaviour support.
The key responsibilities include, but not limited to: Delivering high-quality behaviour support, therapy and consultancy for individuals displaying behaviours of concern; Undertaking functional behaviour assessments and other appropriate standardised assessments to develop and report on individualised support interventions and plans; Developing individualised positive behaviour support plans and other intervention programs; and Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop, implement and review support strategies.
Applicants undertaking a pathway to Psychology registration (4+2, 5+1) are encouraged to apply!
What you'll need to succeed  Degree in Developmental Education, Psychology or related field with a behaviour component; Competencies to register as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIA PBS Capability Framework; Current registration or eligibility for full membership with the relevant national professional governing body such as DEAI, ACA, AHPRA, AASW or other as defined by the NDIS professional registration requirements of the relevant profession is desirable; Extensive knowledge of the principles of positive behaviour support and demonstrated experience in working with the Positive Behaviour Support Framework;  Minimum 1-year experience working with people who display behaviours of concern and/or require behaviour therapy; and  Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module "Quality, Safety and You" (Module available at: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course); Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, and National Police Check.
