Project Overview: Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.
Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary: As Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent, you will lead a team and supervise supervisors and/or craft professionals on a project.
You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development.
Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
Major Responsibilities: Level 1
Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision up to 50 craft) Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned. Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. Determines workforce requirements. Coordinates established area operational plans. Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site. Other responsibilities as designated. Level 2
Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision of superintendents supporting 50 to 100 craft or Responsible for Area/Facility) Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. (Direct Hire) Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. (Direct Hire) Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site. Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive. Manages engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. Education and Experience Requirements: Level 1
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Level 2
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience in large scale LNG or similar Construction projects. Experience with Instrumentation installation & completion including Loop checks. Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire Craft Professional workforce. Good knowledge of relevant Australian standards. Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.

Additional Information:
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
