About this role: Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. The role covers ANZ and we are open to it being based within Australia or NZ, reporting directly to the ANZ Territory Sales Manager.
You will be part of a growing team responsible for driving the growth of Fire Suppression products business in the ANZ region, including:
Identifying, investigating, and evaluating new growth opportunities to generate incremental revenue and improve profitability.Developing strong consultative relationships with key consultants, end-users, OEMs, insurance companies, and other specifiers to ensure our products are specified.Identifying total offering opportunities in the region and closely aligning with strategic customers and end-users.Preparing and delivering high-quality technical presentations and live product demonstrations to recommend viable solutions for project requirements.How you will do it: As a Business Development Manager, you will use in-depth technical knowledge of Water-Based &/or Special Hazards Fire Protection Systems to collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Services & Training, and other functional groups.
Creating and maintaining consultative client relationships and engaging in retention selling.Researching and identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.Thinking strategically to set aims and objectives for business development.Seeking synergy opportunities across the NBU's for processes, tools, systems, and cross-selling.Providing technical training to architects, consulting engineers, AHJs, end-users, OEMs, and key accounts.Coordinating with Sales to maximize chances of opportunity conversion.Participating in strategic planning processes with Director Business Development and other leadership.What we are looking for: 8 years minimum sales/business development experience in Fire Protection systems.Proven track record of having fire protection products specified by consultants and installers.Functional experience in strategic planning, marketing, and market development.Ability to lead, develop strategic partnerships, and present concepts to key decision-makers.Self-starter, results-driven mentality, able to optimize performance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Culture: Across our 14 branches in Australia, our employees enjoy a supportive diverse culture, with a highly skilled workforce and opportunities for individual growth and progression.
