Your new role
As the Senior Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in advising on critical legal and regulatory matters that drive the bank's funding and liquidity strategy. This position will see you engaging in high-stakes transactions, managing cross-jurisdictional legal challenges, and contributing to the development of the bank's capital and funding strategies. Your expertise will directly support the bank's ability to innovate and thrive on a global scale.
Key responsibilities include: Providing expert legal advice on debt and equity capital markets transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and strategic alignment with corporate goals.Managing complex cross-border legal issues and delivering innovative solutions within diverse regulatory frameworks.Proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with capital markets and funding activities.Collaborating with internal teams to support strategic initiatives and ensure robust legal processes.Driving best practices in risk management and legal compliance.What you'll need to succeed
We are seeking a proactive and experienced legal professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You'll bring a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and a collaborative approach to this high-impact role.
Qualifications and skills:4-7 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in banking and finance law, gained at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.Deep knowledge of debt capital markets, securitisation, and/or general banking and finance.Proven ability to manage complex legal projects and address cross-jurisdictional challenges effectively.Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Self-motivation, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.What you'll get in return
