Baillie Lodges is a growing portfolio of luxury lodges renowned for setting benchmarks in premium experiential travel. The Australia-based collection includes Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, Longitude 131° at Uluru-Kata Tjuta, Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island, Silky Oaks Lodge at the Daintree Rainforest, and The Louise in the Barossa Valley. In 2019, an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners acquired Baillie Lodges with the aim to further expand the unique collection of luxury lodges. The partnership enabled the collection's foray into international waters, adding Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge on Canada's Vancouver Island and New Zealand's Huka Lodge. In Chile, Tierra Atacama and Tierra Patagonia offer extraordinary experiences of South America.
About the Role:
As our Revenue and Distribution Manager, you will leverage your business acumen and expertise in revenue management and distribution to drive profitability across all channels. You will develop and execute dynamic pricing strategies, ensuring competitive positioning and revenue optimization across our global luxury lodge portfolio. Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, your role will be pivotal in achieving commercial success and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will develop and implement tailored revenue management and distribution strategies that deliver commercial value across all market segments. You will analyze forward booking patterns, identify periods of soft demand, and collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to initiate strategies aimed at improving performance. By utilizing data and recommendations from our revenue management system, Duetto, you will make informed rate adjustments and optimize yielding opportunities based on real-time market conditions.
In addition to managing pricing and business displacement, you will work closely with our lodge managers to ensure alignment with revenue goals, while also overseeing third-party distribution channels to ensure seamless connectivity, rate integrity and maximize performance.
Your role will also involve actively managing inventory, minimizing gaps that cannot be sold, and ensuring online booking engines are optimized for direct bookings. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports and analysis on revenue trends and performance, providing key insights to stakeholders on a weekly and monthly basis. You will also support the lodges' annual budgeting process and participate in regular revenue meetings to present strategies, address challenges, and provide analysis.
This is a hands-on role that requires a multi-skilled revenue professional; there are no direct reports to this role, however, you will work in conjunction with the sales, marketing, and reservations teams.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven leadership ability with a strategic mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Revenue Management role within the hospitality industry, with a strong track record of forecasting and reporting on revenue.
Expertise in analyzing market data and transforming it into actionable revenue strategies.
Strong proficiency in distribution software (e.g., SiteMinder, STR, CRM systems) and experience with booking engines (TravelClick) OTAs, GDS, and property websites.
