What you'd be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on: Design, develop, and deploy solutions to challenging Content AI problems – working closely with other backend engineers, ML engineers, frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features and experiments to our usersFacilitate knowledge sharing and effectively advocate for engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders within the groupUse AI and LLM technology to automate design decisions for our usersModel initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes and solutionsIdentify opportunities for cross-team collaboration to work on new ideas and improvements that help achieve our goalsYou're probably a match if You have commercial experience in a software development environment, building scalable backend systemsYou have experience or a strong interest in using LLM's to enhance user workflows and productivityYou will be comfortable using JavaFirmly grounded computer science and engineering fundamentals including concurrency, multithreading, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patternsAbout the team Content AI enables users to find the perfect words for their design. We're exploring new territory in AI, supporting design and enterprise workflows. Since the field of AI is enjoying a rapid progression, there are many exciting opportunities for Content AI to help users best communicate (and consume) ideas. We're accomplishing this through advanced prompt engineering and efficient software pipelines between our UI and LLM's while being able to support millions of users.
