Job Summary We are currently evolving our technology stack to a modern MERN architecture (MongoDB Atlas, Express, React, Node) and adopting a serverless approach with GraphQL for API integration. Join us in shaping the future of fitness club management solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Node.js and Express, with hands-on experience in MongoDB Atlas and serverless architectures. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our next-generation product, ensuring seamless integration with various third-party platforms through GraphQL.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and Express. Design and manage databases using MongoDB Atlas. Implement and optimise serverless functions to enhance scalability and performance. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Build and maintain GraphQL APIs for efficient data retrieval and manipulation. Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of the back-end systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement. Work in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Build backend systems to deliver core functionality to users. Utilise relational SQL databases and NoSQL databases. Develop APIs using GraphQL. Deploy services within the AWS ecosystem. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role. AWS knowledge will be an added advantage. Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express. Proficiency in React. Experience with MongoDB Atlas and database design. Familiarity with serverless architectures and services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions). Proficiency in building and consuming GraphQL APIs. Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end components. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work with other team members using the Scrum methodology in different time zones. This role will be a hybrid position, requiring attendance in the office 3-4 days a week. This role will commence on 5th November 2024.
