Azure Cloud Engineer - Azure Arc Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services in Microsoft Azure, with a particular focus on Azure Arc. This role involves implementing and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure services and a deep understanding of Azure Arc capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, configure, and manage Azure Arc to extend Azure management and governance across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments. Integrate non-Azure resources with Azure services to enable unified management and monitoring. Design and deploy scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure services. Manage and optimize Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network configurations. Develop and maintain hybrid cloud solutions that bridge on-premises data centers and Azure cloud environments. Ensure compatibility and seamless operation of Azure Arc with on-premises and other cloud platforms. Develop and manage automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and managing Azure resources using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to streamline deployments and configurations. Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools to monitor performance, availability, and security of cloud resources. Analyze and optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Manage identity and access controls using Azure Active Directory (AAD) and role-based access control (RBAC). Provide technical support for Azure and Azure Arc-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems. Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to address complex technical challenges. Maintain detailed documentation of Azure Arc configurations, deployments, and best practices. Prepare and present reports on cloud infrastructure performance, usage, and incident resolutions. Stay updated with the latest Azure and Azure Arc features, tools, and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance cloud infrastructure and operational efficiency. Due to the secure nature of the role, Australian citizens with a federal government security clearance will be preferred.
