Avionics Systems Installer – Contract

Job Description:
As an avionics systems installer you are responsible for a variety of tasks from removing and installing avionics components, fabricating and installing wiring harness and functional testing of those systems.
Type: Contract
Contract Period: Immediate Start, and finishing end of December 2024.
Location: Bankstown Aerodrome, Sydney, NSW
Expressions of interest for full time work are welcome.
Responsibilities:

Carry out removal and installation of avionics components in accordance with the approved installation data
Fabricate and install wiring looms, including terminations with high quality workmanship and in accordance with AC21-99 and other technical standards in force at the time.
Functional testing of systems in accordance with the the appropriate data
Interpret and follow wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
Identify installation issues, troubleshoot and find solutions
Liase between various trades, such as structures, engine/airframe and Part21.M Engineers
Maintain a professional working relationship with team members
Maintain a clean working environment, care for company tooling
Adhere to Pacific Avionics company policies
Any other duties assigned by the supervisors

Qualifications:

High School Certificate
Profficient with English (Reading and writing)
An Valid Australian working visa, valid for the hours and duration of the contract period
Holder of an Australian Drivers License
A set of basic tools to perform work as needed
Physically fit for - bending, lifting and working in tight spaces
Can understand wiring diagrams and technical aviation drawings, workpackages
General understanding of the CASA CAR30 regulations

Highly Regarded/Prefered Skills:

Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
4 Years Experience in the industry performing similar tasks for this role
Familiar with AC21-99 and industry standard installation practises
Familiar with CASA Car 30 Regulations
Knowledge of PMA, STC, Part 21.M Engineering and other approved data
Familiar with AVX-10K, Pitot/Static Test Sets, IFR4000/6000 Test Sets and other typical avionics test equipment
Basic sheetmetal handskills

About the position:
The successful candidate will be involved in avionics installations and modifications with the potential types of aircraft to range from fixed wing and helicopters employed in a wide range of services such as Aerial Firefighting, Search and Rescue and Private/VIP.
Work is carried out in our Bankstown Hangar facilitity and from time to time at customers facilities.
As part of the Pacific Avionics team the candidate will experience working with a group of avionics technicians that take pride in their work and strive to provide a first class service to their customers.
