This role's roster will align to that of our customers and may adjust based on which project you are currently focused on.As part of our onboarding process, you will go through a robust training program where you will learn all aspects of system operation, troubleshooting and application of autonomy to a mining environment. Once you complete this training program, you will be well-positioned to support our customers in optimising system performance and safe autonomous operation.This role provides the opportunity to work alongside the world's leading mining companies. Autonomy is a sophisticated investment, and the customers that use it are equally cutting-edge. This position gives management exposure to entry-level positions, as mining companies look to Caterpillar expertise to advise as best practices are implemented and new procedures are developed.With a global company like Caterpillar, there are international opportunities available. MineStar Command is utilized in three different continents and has support facilities all over the world. Training and operational experience is enriched by international networking and collaboration.Once you complete your training program, your job duties may include (but are not limited to):Implementing MineStar Command and maximise system performance.Through close collaboration internally and externally, you will become a trusted advisor for the customer.Supporting and advising MineStar Command Office Supervisors, Builders, Controllers and Pit Technicians in all aspects of MineStar system performance, including minimising downtime.Providing technical support to MineStar Command System on-board maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.Supporting hardware and software installation and configuration through establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.Measure, benchmark and report on MineStar Command System performance, and suggest opportunities for improvements.Developing training and process material.Training program is tailored to the individual; which may include 2 x 4 weeks classroom training and on-the-job training and mentoring over a 6 to 12 month period.Most Application Specialists work an 8/6 FIFO or DIDO roster.To be successful in this role, you will require the following attributes:Ready for a new challengePassionate about technology with some technical exposureExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environmentMining experienceCustomer relationship managementData analyticalExceptional time managementAbility to work autonomously as well as part of a complex teamMust be a self-starter with sound organisation and prioritising skillsManual Drivers license or willing to obtain oneAbility to meet the ongoing COVID vaccination mandate requirements of our major mining customers and regional governments in Australia and InternationallyThe following will be highly regarded, but not essential:University degree in Engineering, IT, mining or similar working backgroundKnowledge of mining technology products and product applications, including Fleet Management systems.Employee Benefits:Salary: We offer competitive remuneration package, including attractive bonus and share options.Parental Leave: Generous parental leave policy and you can choose how you take your leave (full pay or half pay).Diversity and Inclusion: At Caterpillar, we are committed to diversity and inclusion, equal opportunity and equal outcome.Discounts: We have staff discounts across health insurance, shopping, food, health & wellbeing and travel.Global Presence: As Caterpillar is a global company, we have many career opportunities across the globe and have training and development opportunities.How to Apply:If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career as part of the Caterpillar team, apply today via: www.caterpillar.com/careers by attaching a copy of your resume.Your road to success begins with a Caterpillar career.
