Lounsbury Chevrolet in Bathurst is looking for a Licensed Automotive Service Technician.Hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. The pay rate for a fully licensed Automotive Technician is $30/hour.Apprentices' pay rates are a percentage of the top rate based on accumulated hours in the apprenticeship program.ResponsibilitiesBasic vehicle maintenance: tire rotations and oil changes, diagnosing complex problems, and planning and executing vehicle repairsIsolate the systems or components that might have caused the problemDrive the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computersRepair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damageMaintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehiclesQualificationsApprentices: must have a high school diploma or equivalentLicensed Automotive Service Technician through an accredited post-secondary institution or part of an accredited apprenticeship programMust have a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstractAbility to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specificationsAbility to work individually and as part of a teamHigh level of integrity and work ethicCan work independently, managing his or her time and workflow
