ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting into the Automation & Optimisation Lead, This role supports the Brisbane Central Control Room to safety, calmly and effectively operate the assets to enable Origin to maximise production, lower the cost of gas supply and decarbonise its operations.
The successful candidate will have experience working within an Operational Company/Environment, experience in programming and troubleshooting SCADA Systems, with specific FAST/Tools SCADA & High Level Programming language experience highly regarded.

Monitoring the control system performance and ensure the Process Control System availability, reliability and cyber-security are maintained Ensuring PCS functionality and performance meets key criteria with respect to Origin and industry standards Ensuring all operational modifications, optimisation and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with governance, safety, and quality standards Supporting annual asset performance reviews to capture obsolescence/performance issues before they impact system performance Developing and reviewing HMI modifications, upgrades and standardisation Prioritising improvement activities relevant to the BCCR and Origin IG-wide wellheads and SCADA Working closely and respectfully with key stakeholders, including operators, supervisors, and Asset/Field personnel to resolve automation system issues ABOUT YOU
You'll need to be continuous improvement driven and extremely resilient. You will have the ability to deliver, strong communication skills, and comfortable working across different asset different Asset and Functional teams.
· Bachelor's degree of Engineering
· Relevant Control System experience with competency working with DCS, SCADA, RTUs and PLCs
· Understanding of Control Engineering and systems and advanced knowledge of process automation systems
· Proactive problem-solving abilities to negotiate and provide effective solutions
· Acts with integrity, commitment to meeting deadlines & quality and able to build positive working relationships
· Demonstrable ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment and share capabilities with peers to lift team and business performance and skill level
