Auto Glass Technician

NOVUS AUTO GLASS GLADSTONE – Gladstone QLD
Novus Auto Glass is expanding and seeking an experienced tradesperson to join our team, to provide a high quality of service and standard of workmanship when repairing, replacing, and fitting glass to vehicles.

Job Duties
Repair or replace glass and related materials such as windshields, back glass, passenger door glass and heating elements on vehicles while consistently meeting or exceeding Novus Glass technical standards.
Replace or adjust motorized or manual window-raising mechanisms.
Examine glass for defects prior to installation.
When necessary, cut glass according to specified patterns, or perform precision patternmaking and glass cutting to custom fit replacement windows.
When necessary, shape or smooth edges of uneven glass.
Consistently and strictly adhere to company Health and Safety procedures using the safety equipment provided.
Completing radar calibrations as required.
Other related tasks as required.
Requirements
High school diploma or the equivalent.
At least 2 years of direct experience in the automotive glass repair and replacement industry preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication skills in person and on the telephone.
Be available to work a flexible schedule.
Be able to drive company vehicle to complete the tasks independently at the client's site, where required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
Physical ability to lift up to 36.5kgs.
Travel to off-site locations.
Safety equipment will be required, e.g.
steel-capped safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
Working both indoor and outdoor may be required.
Limited private use of work ute including travelling to and from work is included for the successful applicant.
