Since 2009, the Pajingo mine, located southwest of Townsville and around 50km from Charters Towers, currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, open cut, and ore processing operations. Charters Towers is close to Townsville and the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, offering the charms of regional living with the added bonus of a Capital City close by.About the role:We are experiencing a period of exciting growth at our Pajingo gold operation and are seeking experienced Auto Electricians for our Pajingo Mine Operations.The role is based in Charters Towers, DIDO (Accommodation provided) working a 7/7 roster.Key Responsibilities:Delivering results and meeting expectationsDiagnosing electrical malfunctions within automotive systemsInstalling electrical systemsEnsuring strong attention to detailUtilizing analytical skills for complex problem solvingApplying knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiringAbout you:Recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification2 years experience in mobile plant maintenance in a mining environmentCertificate II in Automotive Mechanical (Air conditioning)Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExperience with underground or surface equipmentCurrent & Valid Manual Australian Drivers LicenceAbility to pass a PEM & DASSuitable National Police ClearanceReliability and good work ethicStrong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety RequirementsAs part of our process, you will be required to complete pre-employment checks, including a medical which involves a drug and alcohol screen, and obtain a police clearance.Only candidates with the right to reside and work in Australia will be considered.
