The Opportunity
As a Theatre Assistant, you will play a vital support role within surgical teams.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Supporting the Surgical Team – Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses with preparing the operating rooms.
Maintaining Sterility – Ensure that the theatre environment, equipment, and instruments remain sterile to reduce infection risks.
Cleaning and Disinfecting – Clean the theatre after surgeries and prepare it for the next procedure, handling clinical waste.
Inventory Management – Monitor and restock supplies.
Assisting with Patient Positioning and Transfer – Safely transport and position patients on the operating table, ensuring comfort and preventing injuries.
Skills and Experience
You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures.
You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
You will also bring:
Certificate 3 or Certificate 4 Level in a relatable field or AIN Certificate Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required.
