About the Role
Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a role that offers both flexibility and a chance to make a meaningful impact?
LifeFlight Australia is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Officer to join our passionate team on a fixed-term 12 month contract.
This is your chance to bring your expertise to a fast-paced environment while supporting our vital mission of saving lives.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, while working alongside a small talented, friendly and dedicated Payroll team.

Key accountabilities include:
End-to-End Payroll: Oversee the full payroll cycle, including processing for new starters, terminations, and any adjustments.
Leave Management: Ensure accurate tracking of employee leave entitlements, including annual leave, personal leave, and long service leave.
Enquiry Response: Be the go-to expert for payroll-related inquiries, providing guidance to both employees and management.
Reporting: Assist with creating detailed payroll reports (fortnightly, monthly and annually).
Compliance: Ensure the timely payment of payroll taxes, superannuation, and other regulatory obligations are met.
Data Management: Keep employee data up-to-date in our payroll system, collaborating closely with the People & Culture team.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhancing both efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
We're looking for a team member with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Payroll Officer, who brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills to the table.
You'll need to be comfortable working in a complex payroll environment, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
A friendly demeanour, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Experience with Enterprise Agreements and Awards, a high level of proficiency in payroll software, Excel, and a solid understanding of Fair Work, Payroll, Tax, and Superannuation legislation in Australia are must-haves.

Salary Packaging Options: As an employee of LifeFlight, you have the opportunity to benefit from salary packaging, allowing you to allocate up to $15,900 per Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year towards general living expenses.
This includes covering various everyday costs like groceries, petrol, mortgage, rent, and school fees, providing you with added financial flexibility and support.

Note: the successful applicant will be required to undergo background checks including a national police check as a condition of employment.
