We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager across our Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne CBD office locations. The role is a full-time position however flexible working conditions are available. Offers will be based on candidate performance and operational requirements.

Provide education, assistance, advice and guidance to employers, employees, outworkers, outworker entities and organisations. Promote and monitor compliance with workplace laws. About the Branch
The Technology Branch is responsible for delivering and maintaining secure, stable, reliable, and modern internal and external facing systems that support OFWO business areas to deliver OFWO's functions to the highest standard. Our IT infrastructure is provided under a Memorandum of Understanding with Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
We are currently seeking a highly self-motivated and experienced Assistant Director to undertake the role of Project Manager to manage and deliver IT projects/programs in accordance with the agency's Project Management Framework (PMF) and other related policies, processes and procedures.
Typical Duties
The Assistant Director, IT Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex technology related projects requiring high level of engagement and relationship management with internal and external stakeholders. The Assistant Director, IT Project Manager will be managing the delivery of IT projects, will assist with and contribute to business-as-usual service delivery outputs that align to the strategic and operational outcomes for the branch.
The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
Lead, manage, deliver and monitor IT projects in accordance with the agency Project Management Framework (PMF) and other related policies, procedures and processes. Collaborate, coordinate and consult with other teams on potential IT investments, initiatives and business drivers that may require specific input and expertise. Undertake risk assessment and risk management activities for IT projects or programs. Design and implement effective stakeholder engagement and communications strategies for all project stages. Oversee and analyse project outputs, aims and objectives. Monitor program outcomes and analyse against budget specifications. Report on program outcomes to internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate the use of specialist project service providers, including contractors and consultants. Evaluate specialist proposals from contractors, select contractors and manage consultant/contractor providers. Review and clear briefs. Support the Director, Customer & Collaboration as required. Support the development of branch implementation plans and associated key activities to meet team outcomes. Leadership

Ability to take responsibility for guiding, mentoring and providing feedback to peers and the ability to operate effectively as a team player. A demonstrated capacity to think on your feet, to solve problems and work effectively with others. Please note: travel may be required as part of this role. Due to the nature of this role, some out of hours contact is required.

Considerable IT project management experience with a demonstrated ability to achieve results. A demonstrated understanding of IT project management processes. Sound problem solving skills, with the ability to work through issues to resolution within an Agile software development environment.
