Senior Director AssessmentsFull-time Permanent Details: Are you interested in leading a team at the forefront of anti-corruption efforts? Can you lead a team involved in the assessment of allegations of corrupt conduct made to the ACT Integrity Commission? Are you able to provide advice to the executive on how corruption allegations should be handled, based on the application of the provisions of the Integrity Commission Act 2018.The ACT Integrity Commission is seeking a Senior Director with analytical and leadership experience to lead the Commission's Assessment Team. This team is the front face of the Commission and assesses all allegations of corruption lodged with the Commission. This role requires exceptional skills in liaising with complainants (i.e. those who lodge corruption allegations) and must be able to lead and mentor assessment officers and undertake the assessment of complex matters.The ACT Integrity Commission is an independent anti-corruption agency with powers under the Integrity Commission Act 2018. The Commission's purpose to investigate, expose and prevent corruption and foster public confidence in the integrity of government. The Senior Director of Assessments works closely with the CEO and the leadership team to assess corruption allegations made to the Commission and recommend next steps for handling these allegations. The key functions of the role include:Providing high level guidance and support to team members in the preparation of assessment reports, ensuring legislative and quality requirements are met. This includes maintaining oversight of the more complex and time sensitive corruption reports.Managing the workflows of the Assessments Team, ensuring that priority matters are triaged and assessed in a timely fashion and that any backlogs are appropriately managed and mitigated.Developing and implementing processes and procedures that optimize the operation of the assessment function.Providing strategic and operational advice as needed to staff and the executive in the pursuit of a professional and agile assessments capability.The ideal candidate will be able to participate in decision making and strategic planning as a member of the senior management team to contribute to organisational direction, planning and objectives. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.Eligibility/ Other Requirements:Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams involved in the assessments of allegations or complaints, preferably in an oversight, law enforcement, or regulatory environment.Demonstrated high level experience in collecting, assessing and analysing information and exercising sound judgement in developing recommendations.Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload with limited guidance.Proven organisational abilities, problem solving, analytical skills, policy and process identification, development, modification and implementation.Demonstrated ability to identify and apply relevant legislation, policy or guidelines to resolve or make recommendations on a range of complex and sensitive matters.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a wide range of people both within and external to the Commission.Behavioural Capabilities:Organisational abilities include the ability and flexibility to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines.Analytical and problem-solving skills includes the ability to identify, collate, examine and make recommendations based on the information obtained, the circumstances surrounding a report and the objectives and priorities of the Commission.Tenacity and attention to detail.Leadership; which translates to building culture, capacity building through providing vision, encouraging, promoting and participating in teamwork, inclusivity, self- awareness and emotional intelligence.Compliance Requirements/ Qualifications:The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth security clearance at the Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) classification; accordingly, applications can only be considered from those with Australian Citizenship.It is a condition of employment with the Commission that staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.A full driver's licence is preferred but not essential.Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
