Incremental salary progression, starting from $88,615 for new educators and from $105,498 to $125,582 for experienced educators, rewarding you for your expertise and dedication to teaching. Up to $12K relocation reimbursement for interstate/international teachers. We are seeking passionate and qualified secondary classroom teachers for permanent and contract positions in ACT public schools. Teaching areas of specialisation include:
Inclusive and Disability Educators Mathematics Physical Education, Health and Outdoor Education Science Visual and Performing Arts Design and Technology Information Technology Humanities and Social Sciences We recruit teachers across all specialisations for all ACT public schools. About you:
You have relevant and recognised tertiary qualifications. Have a passion for teaching and education and support a student-centred approach to learning. Have the expertise and the ability to teach across a broad age and ability range. Demonstrate knowledge and successful application of the Australian Curriculum and outcomes-based learning. Have positive classroom management skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Proven experience establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents/carers. Eligibility requirements for employment
Education qualifications – Have an approved four-year full-time tertiary education qualification. Applicants with qualifications gained outside of Australia should complete a skills assessment by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) to confirm qualification requirements and English language proficiency to teach in Australian schools. Teacher registration – Hold a valid approval to teach with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI). If you do not hold a teacher registration with the ACT TQI, we suggest starting your application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity. Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration – Have a valid ACT WWVP. If you don't, we suggest starting your application process at the same time.
