Administration Officer
Full-time Permanent Details: ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is seeking a dedicated and conscientious person to fill a permanent vacancy as an Administration Officer (ASO4) in the AMC Executive Support Team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing office management and administrative support to meet the needs of the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) and the Court Transport Unit (CTU). You will also assist the Executive Support Team Leader with meeting organisation and secretariat responsibilities, including preparation of agendas, taking and transcribing minutes.
In addition, you will be responsible for preparing a range of correspondence including letters, briefings, and written reports, including drafting of basic correspondence to visitors and other members of the public.
Further to this, you will be required to create and maintain current files and source files for investigation, ordering and applying file barcodes, copying files for legal purposes, sourcing file information for the Ombudsman, freedom of information requests and Human Rights Commission enquiries.
To be successful, you will have the ability to think and act in a busy environment, possess excellent customer service and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage personal work priorities.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: This position does not require a pre-employment medical. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
