You will deliver programming that aligns with the Network's strategy and ensure ABC Radio National remains a leader in thought-provoking and distinctive programming for Australian audiences.The JobProvide editorial leadership in planning, production, and distribution to create distinctive and compelling content across all platforms.Lead and develop the team to achieve a shared understanding and commitment to team objectives, and to build and maintain a collaborative and high-performance culture.Manage a comprehensive air-checking program to help on-air and producer talent perform to the highest standards.Drive the implementation of the Radio National Network strategy, including the mission to be more live on our linear schedule, to grow target audiences.Identify content that can be shared with other content teams in the Content Division and across the ABC on multiple platforms.About YouYou are passionate about the issues Radio National's audience is interested in and have experience in leading a team, providing coaching and mentoring.To be successful in the role you'll also be able to demonstrate :Significant experience in developing and driving content strategy in a media organisation, to build audiences.Outstanding editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement.A high-level understanding of broadcast and online data – how to interpret and draw insights, and how to coach the team in the same.Financial acumen and the ability to allocate resources effectively.What we can offer you :15.4% ABC Nominated Super.Paid parental, carer's, and supporting partner leave.Salary packaging.ABC MentoringAbout ABC RNABC Radio National is the ABC's home of in-depth analysis and quality specialist journalism.
