As Product Manager, you will take ownership of driving the Australian product strategy, negotiating contracts and securing commercial agreements, and building a presence in the Australian inbound travel market. Supported by the Product team, the Product Manager will be responsible for the management of all IAT products (suppliers) in the Australian market, including building tours, and onboarding the best suppliers and experiences for our clients. The role will provide mentorship, guidance, and training to the Product team. What does the role look like? Develop and maintain key industry and customer relationships Negotiate rates, credit agreements, terms and conditions Effectively manage, support and provide guidance to the Product Team to deliver on their output targets, ensuring suitable training, monitoring and development is provided Support the General Manager on strategic decision making and planning as relevant Provide input and assist with the implementation of the IAT strategy, providing innovation and solutions Regularly communicate and provide operational business and performance updates against key targets/metrics to the General Manager Manage the product offering so that it is up to date, relevant and appropriate for the business's needs Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and represent IAT at trade events to ensure IAT receives the best possible service and product Organise supplier trainings with the team on new products and any updates as required Minimum Requirements: High level of experience negotiating positive commercial outcomes Network of tourism industry and supplier contacts highly desirable, with strong preference from an inbound or wholesale perspective. Ability to create new approaches for IAT if adverse situations arise - demonstration of resilience and agility a must. Strong values-based leadership skills with ability to shape a customer-focused, cohesive team and business culture. Proven ability to understand business fundamentals, financial performance KPIs and modern business processes and systems. Excellence in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. High degree of computer literacy with proficiency in the G-suite, Microsoft & Excel. Sound level of numerical and data analysis skills 5+ years in Product Contracting or Business Development roles within the tourism industry with proven demonstration of negotiation skills.
